Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year plus bonus

We are expanding our commercial portfolio and are looking for an Electrical Estimator / Project Manager who can help Lunex price projects accurately, win strategic commercial work, and manage awarded jobs from kickoff through closeout.

 

This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who enjoys estimating and seeing the work built in the field.

Position Summary

The Electrical Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for preparing competitive bids for commercial electrical projects and managing those projects through completion. This role combines analytical estimating with hands-on project oversight, client communication, and coordination with field teams.

You will play a key role in helping Lunex expand its commercial portfolio and build strong relationships with general contractors, property managers, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating

  • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work

  • Perform quantity takeoffs for lighting, power, distribution, and low-voltage as applicable

  • Develop labor, material, and equipment cost estimates

  • Request and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotes

  • Prepare proposals, alternates, and value-engineering options

  • Track bid status and maintain bid calendar

  • Support business development by identifying upcoming opportunities

Project Management

  • Serve as primary point of contact for the customer for awarded projects

  • Attend kickoff meetings, site visits, and progress meetings

  • Review and coordinate submittals, RFIs, change orders, and scheduling

  • Work directly with field foreman providing guidance

  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and labor usage

  • Prepare closeout documents and ensure client satisfaction

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of electrical estimating and/or project management experience

  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and NEC

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

  • Experience with estimating or takeoff software (Accubid)

  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills

  • Strong organizational ability and attention to detail

  • Capable of managing multiple active bids and projects simultaneously

  • Valid driver’s license (site visits required)
